How embarrassing would this be to explain? Steven Levy, tech writer for Newsweek, had his MacBook Air accidently thrown away with some newspapers. Newsweek is going to pony up the $1800 to replace it, but still… wonder what the conversation to explain that must have been like?

The Apple Store was down briefly, but now it’s back up.
They have new faster MacBook Pros, and the 15-inch models have a new mecury-free, power-efficient LED backlit display. Both models now come with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics controller.
