Microsoft Surface

May 30th, 2007 · No Comments

microsoft-surface.jpgMicrosoft will announce Microsoft Surface today, and the All Things Digital conference.

The technology for table top computing, where you can interact with objects on a table top in conjunction with an image projected on the table’s surface, has been around for a while. The thing that is different about Microsoft Surface is that you can use your fingers, brushes or other objects to interact with the table.

If you want to see this for yourself, you can see a demo on June 9th at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers at 811 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019 on Saturday, June 9th, 2007. It will be open to the public.

If you’re headed for SIGGRAPH, the computer graphics conference of ACM, in San Diego, CA, August 5-9th, 2007. SIGGRAPH is a closed conference (meaning you have to pay to get in), so be aware of that if you’re thinking about going.
